MORE ABOUT ME:

I truly feel that God has called me to boldly step into the birth world. Without that calling I do not believe I would be able to serve in the capacity that I do. Birth-work is tremendously sacrificial work. It’s a whole family affair and takes a lot of teamwork in order to make this dream a reality. My husband is my biggest supporter and is my rock. We pray together over every client, it’s more than a job I tell you, it’s a ministry.

Before becoming a massage therapist I played collegiate volleyball all the way through the DI level. Competing at this level developed me into the woman I am today and how I approach the work that I do, with determination, grit, and gratitude. I have more than 8 years of experience in massage therapy where I have began to specialize over the years in prenatal massage, reflexology, and nervous system led fascial release therapies. I have a BS in Kinesiology, I have multiple movement instructor certifications, as well as Christian Doula certifications. My passion for the human body makes me so in awe of our creator every time I step into the work atmosphere. I am in awe of His intricate design and I truly believe He created our bodies on purpose WITH purpose.

If I am not hanging out with my husband in our new home we built in the forest right next to immediate family, then I am homeschooling our children, baking our favorite yummy meals, working in our garden, collecting herbs for my growing apothecary, nature walking with our children, knitting someone a present, or crafting with my daughter. Adding birth doula into the mix was the most natural YES for our family, getting to serve women and encourage them on into motherhood is the ministry I’ve dreamed of.

My birth philosophy:

I believe birth is a beautifully designed, deeply personal, and profoundly transformative experience. As a mother who has experienced two home-births I have come to greatly appreciate the strength of a women’s body, the importance of a peaceful & supportive environment, and the profound impact that compassionate care can have on her birth experience. My philosophy is rooted in a reverence for God’s design of the female body and the incredible process of bringing new life into the world. I believe the birth process deserves patience, respect, and trust. That mother’s deserve to be supported instead of rushed, heard instead of directed, and empowered instead of made to feel fearful or incapable.

As a doula, my role is not to control birth or prescribe one right way to bring a baby into the world. Homebirth, birth center, or hospital… every mama and every pregnancy is different and I am here to support NOT judge! I want to walk alongside a mother and her family with knowledge, encouragement, physical comfort, and unwavering compassion. I strive to help mothers feel informed in THEIR choices, confident in THEIR voices, and supported in whatever path THEIR birth takes. I honor the beauty of physiologic birth while recognizing that every mother, every baby, and every birth is unique. I believe the same compassionate care is deserved regardless of the setting or outcome.

Above all I believe a mother deserves to feel cared for in the very moment she is doing something extraordinary. It is my absolute privilege to serve women through this sacred season.
